Indoor Playgrounds & Activities for Kids in Amman

Just thinking about indoor playgrounds triggers me a bit as I would prefer better outdoor playground options in Amman. But in the end, I’ve come to accept that I’ll be spending the majority of playdates (and dinars) indoors at these kid-friendly centers. Because not all indoor playgrounds are created equal, I’m focusing on ones I’ve actually visited and would recommend to someone. I’ll also include indoor activity centers we’ve tried out and like. Please take into account my kids are 2.5 and 5, so I won’t be touching on some of the bigger kid playgrounds/activities.

Tiny Tots

tiny tots amman

Location: Swefieh Village (Floor -1)

Why I recommend it: Peaceful music, drop-off allowed, very caring staff, sensory play without overstimulation.

Kidose

Location: Um Uthaina (more locations popping up soon) (map)

Why I recommend it: A play area with a dedicated (sound-proof) area for kids with a spa next door! Need I say more why I would recommend Kidose?

Mama Sima Studio

Location: Swefieh Village (level -1) (map)

Why I recommend it: This is the type of activity that I would never even try to do at home, but I know my kids would love to. I’m glad to have a place with staff that guides my kids through the inevitably messy process of slime-making with no need for me to get involved (unless I want to) or clean up afterward.

Sky High

Location: Swefieh Village (level 1) (map)

Why I mention it: To be honest I don’t particularly care for this place. It seems congested and over-stimulating. We’ve gone a couple of times and I prefer to not go and instead send the nanny to supervise. But I am adding it because my kids love it, so they must be doing something right.

Suggestion for Sky High: Cut down on the over usage of single-use plastic. When you go in they give all parents plastic shoe covers and they require all shoes to be put in plastic bags for storage.

Know of any other indoor playgrounds/activities that should on the list? Comment below!
