Home & Business Organization Service in Amman

You’ve probably seen the Netflix series where they organize homes so perfectly you wonder what they do with the leftover cereal that doesn’t fit into their matching transparent containers. If you haven’t seen those, then you’ve probably heard of Marie Kondo and have tried before to touch all the items in your home and see if they spark joy. So when it comes to bringing my home and organization services to Amman, I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel, but rather give you a local option when you’re procrastinating on the DIY part.

My approach

For me, organizing is a form of therapy. The process of getting rid of items is a cathartic experience and the end result of a clutter-free environment is even more so. And that extends to helping others who may not get the same “high” from digging through a closet or a kitchen cupboard. I really do love organizing and I’m here to help you find a form of organization that works for your home or office and that is possible to maintain. That’s the key – maintain the organization and not strive for perfection or whatever you saw on TV.

Common misconceptions for organization

  1. I need to lead a minimalistic lifestyle to be organized – This doesn’t make everyone happy! I understand that some people like things and they attach sentimental value to many items. I’m not here to tell you you can’t have things, but rather to think, “do these things make me happy or do they make me feel overwhelmed?” If you’re feeling more overwhelmed then it might take a gentle push to get you to a happier place among all of your things.
  2. My wardrobe needs to be organized by size, style, color, etc – Your wardrobe needs to make sense for YOU. If you choose your clothes quicker by them being color coordinated, then organize in that way. If you prefer to have by season or style, then do that. It really doesn’t matter how you organize your closet or how it looks behind those closed doors (or drawers), it just has to make sense to you.
  3. I have to keep all my food in matching acrylic containers with fancy labels – I admit, it looks wonderful, but don’t you ever wonder – what happens with the cereal that didn’t fit in that container? Nothing is going to fit perfectly and it takes time to maintain just to have the end result of a “perfect” kitchen cupboard. As an avid upcycler, I love reusing the nicer containers that food already comes in to store food, and if it’s not transparent, then a label comes in handy. But if you have clear containers, do you really need to label everything when you can already see that’s RICE in it? No probably not!
  4. My kid’s room needs to make Maria Montessori proud with everything accessible for them – I made this mistake when I first set up my son’s nursery back in the day. Absolutely everything displayed on open shelving and accessible for the kids. This technique gave me a mini panic attack every time I stepped in the room, because kids collect stuff and good luck getting their permission to get rid of any of it… If your kid has a lot of things (like they inevitably end up having) then bins where they can plop everything in is the best technique and if you want them behind closed doors, then so be it!
