A few years back I visited Amman and I spent a lot of time trying to find outdoor playgrounds near me. When the weather didn’t agree, I tried out a few of the indoor playgrounds, but I found many times they were over-stimulating (i.e. loud music and pushy kids). This time around, we’re in Amman to stay so I was recently at Swefieh Village (map) for a kids’ karate class and was looking for something to do after the class for both my 5 and 2.5 year old. I had heard about Tiny Tots and decided to check it out.

Tiny Tots is located on the -1 level of Swefieh Village and has a lovely set-up for interactive play with many support staff on hand. You can even leave your child there as part of the entrance fee.
Fees:
9 JD/hour per child
15 JD/hour for 2 children
Other special rates for longer timings and multiple children.
My favorite part of Tiny Tots is that it’s not overstimulating for a child. There’s a tree house, sensory play spaces, a reading area, a baby play area (2 years and under), safe and well-maintained toys, slides, pretend play, etc. Their music isn’t the typical blasting Cocomelon or Baby Shark, but rather relaxing music. It’s the first time I’ve actually gone to one of these indoor play areas and not walked out feeling overstimulated myself.

The owner is a woman named Amy who is from California and you can see she’s really poured her own ideals into the center and not just the commercial ones. They also do weekly activities led by Amy herself like Storytime and Zumbini.
