Marhaba & Ahlan wa sahlan!
In April of 2016 my friend and I decided to take a weeklong trip to Jordan. Little did I know that 10 months later I would pack up all of my belongings into two suitcases and move my life there.
Originally from the Bay Area, California, I have been away from “home” since I was 17 years old. Santa Barbara, Madrid, Girona, Barcelona, Accra and Bangalore have all been places I’ve spent time living.
I’m now adding Amman to the list and invite you all to follow my adventures in learning a new language and culture while I eat, drink and stay active in the Jordanian capital.
Update June 2024: After seven years away from Amman, I’m returning for more than just a short visit this time and also with two small children. Much of this blog’s content will be centered around my experience as a mother as I navigate a new life in Jordan.
