If you’ve just moved to Amman, have lived here for a while but have bought a new home, renovating an old house, or just want to upgrade what you have, here is a helpful article with where to go for all sorts of home decor and accessories.

A special thank you to Lindsey Butler, a fellow Amman expat mom who is in the process of renovating a home and has scoured the Amman market up and down for helpful recommendations and references.

  1. It’s disappointing to see how commercial this site has become. It used to have more genuine, insightful content, but now it feels like just another ad. Plus, the posts are so rare that it’s hardly worth checking anymore.

    1. Hi Samer. What type of content do you suggest? I’m always open to suggestions. Also, to note, this blog is not sponsored or paid by anyone so I’m not sure how it’s commercial. It’s content that I find useful as I journey my way through Amman and want to share with others. Also, I’m a busy working mom of 2 small kids so content isn’t daily or even weekly sometimes. Sorry that’s so disappointing to you.

      1. Thank you for your response! I truly appreciate the effort you put into sharing your experiences in Amman, especially while managing work and two little ones—that’s impressive! My suggestion wasn’t about commercializing the blog, but rather about adding more engaging content to support its growth and reach.

Since I live in Amman and love exploring the city, I’d be happy to contribute by writing one article per week for free, purely to support your vision. Some content ideas could be:

        • Hidden Gems in Amman – Unique spots that residents and visitors may not know about.
        • Cultural Experiences – Local traditions, events, and must-visit historical places.
        • Family-Friendly Activities – Things to do with kids in Amman.
        • Best Cafés & Restaurants – A curated list based on ambiance, food, and experience.
        • Expat & Local Insights – Tips for navigating life in Amman.

Feel free to reach out via WhatsApp, call, or email me directly. You can also add me as an author on WordPress so I can submit articles for your review before publishing. Alternatively, I can send the articles via email for you to review and publish at your convenience. I’d appreciate it if you could include my name as the writer and yours as the reviewer. Let me know what works best for you!

Let me know if this sounds good to you. No pressure at all—just happy to help if you’d like!

        Best,
        Samer Tallauze
